Buying a Used Car from Salters Cars in Brisbane: Your Questions Answered

Reserving, checking and test driving
How does reserving a car online work?
Pay a $200 Reserve Vehicle deposit online and the car is held for you while you sort out the details. That deposit is fully refundable.
How do I check a car is still available?
Send an enquiry from the car's page or ring the yard shown on it. The team will get back to you to confirm.
Can I book a test drive?
Yes. Hit the Test drive button on any car page or fill in our test-drive form, and the yard will contact you to lock in a time.
Are your used cars inspected before sale?
Each car gets a multi-point independent mechanical inspection before it goes on sale. It also goes through our reconditioning process, inside and out.
Do you negotiate on price?
We run a best price, fixed price model. That keeps our margins lower and means the price you see is our best price from the start.
Can I buy if I don't live in Brisbane?
Yes. You can buy from anywhere in Australia and we'll deliver the car straight to your door.
Is there cover after I buy?
We offer a 10 year Mechanical Protection Plan — Fixed price after factory warranty expires. Terms & Conditions apply on eligible cars. Roadside Assistance is offered as well.
Weekly repayments and your current car
What does the weekly figure on each car mean?
Every car page shows a weekly finance estimate alongside the price, so you can shop by what suits your budget. It's a guide only, and the team will give you actual figures when you enquire.
Can I get finance pre-approval?
Yes. Start on our finance page and the team will contact you to go through your options.
Can I trade in my car?
Yes. Send your car's details through the trade-in form and we'll come back to you with a figure. There's no instant online valuation, as a person looks at every trade.
Will you buy my car if I'm not buying one?
Yes. Tell us about it on the Sell Your Car page and the team will be in touch. You can buy, finance, trade and sell all in one place.
Locations, opening hours and servicing
Where are your yards?
Our sales yards are at Indooroopilly, Moorooka, Springwood, Hillcrest and Beaudesert. Each car page shows the dealership's phone number so you can call about that car.
Can I see a car at the yard closest to me?
Our five yards share one stock list. Enquire on the car, mention the yard that suits you, and the team will let you know what can be arranged.
When are the yards open?
Indooroopilly, Moorooka, Springwood and Hillcrest: Mon–Fri 8:30am – 5:30pm, Sat 8:30am – 4pm, Sun Closed. Beaudesert: Mon–Fri 8:30am – 5:30pm, Sat 8am – 2pm, Sun Closed.
Where do you service cars?
We have service centres at Darra, Hillcrest, Seventeen Mile Rocks and Slacks Creek. Service hours are Mon–Fri 7:15am – 5pm, Sat 8am – 12pm, Sun Closed.
How do I book a service?
Send a booking request online by picking the service, the service centre, your preferred day and drop-off time, and we'll confirm with you. You can also call 07 3520 4079.
