Hybrid
A petrol engine works with an electric motor and a small battery. There's no plug: fill up and drive.
Plug-in hybrid (PHEV)
A bigger battery you top up from a power point, with a petrol engine to back it up on longer trips.
Electric (EV)
Runs on battery power only, so you charge it rather than fill it.

Hybrid and EV questions
Do I need to charge a hybrid?
No. A regular hybrid has no plug. Only plug-in hybrids and EVs need charging.
Can I charge a plug-in hybrid or EV at home?
Charging setups vary between cars, so ask our team about the one you're looking at and we'll talk you through it.
Can I test drive one first?
Yes. Send a test drive request for the car you like and the yard will be in touch to set a time.
Can I trade in my petrol car?
Yes. Send your car's details through the trade-in form and we'll get back to you with the next steps.
How do weekly repayments work on your site?
Each car page shows a weekly finance estimate next to the price. Talk to us about finance that suits your situation.
Can I hold a car before I visit?
Some listings offer a fully refundable $200 online deposit on the car's page. For other cars, call the yard or send an enquiry and we'll go through your options.
